Summer 2 Week 2 Newsletter - Safeguarding in school, Attendance and Peace Mala
Safeguarding in school
Keeping our children safe is our most important job in school. Our team of staff have all had training to safeguard and support pupils.
In school, we have a Designated Safeguarding Lead, who is Mrs Duffy. She is joined by Karen Jones, Jane Dodds, Miss Aasim and Miss Spivey, who are all Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads. They work together to make sure that everyone is safe. If anyone in our community has a concern about a child, then please speak with one of them. Find our family friendly safeguarding policy on our website or by clicking the link: Our policy
Attendance
Every day counts. We have lots of exciting events happening in school so coming each day is really important. Last half-term Miss Aasim awarded tablets to the attendance prize winners. This half-term a gaming bus has been hired for pupils with impressive attendance. Other prizes and surprises have been arranged so keep attending to discover what they could be. Missing a day means that your child misses key learning as well as missing out on fun experiences. If you need support please speak to Karen or Jane.
Peace Mala
As a Peace Mala school we ‘Treat others as you would wish them to treat you’. Pupils may buy a Peace Mala bracelet via the Arbor App. If you are having trouble using the app please speak to Mrs Bahi in the office.
