Happy February Half Term
The Academy closes today at 3:15pm for one week. We would like to thank you for your continued support during the Spring 1 Term. We hope you have a restful holiday. The Academy reopens at 8:40am on Monday 24th February.
Learning at Co-op Academy Oakwood
Peregrine Class have been busy creating the mixed media landscape pictures as we come towards the end of our Cityscapes art unit of work. They have really enjoyed making choices and creating their final pieces. Members of our School Council and the Eco Committee enjoyed an insightful day participating in the decision making process that may affect the youth in Inner East Leeds. They met and worked with other children from schools across the Inner East, the councillors, the Leeds Lord Mayor; Abigail Marshall Katung and the local police. They were also inspired by meeting the Children's Mayor of Leeds. In art, Year 2 have completed their topic on monoprinting. For their last task they traced animals and then printed the outline using acrylic paint to print.
Gardening club
Gardening club worked hard this week planting garlic and crocosmia. They also did some more litter picking. It was tough work in the cold and wet conditions.
