Learning at Co-op Academy Oakwood
Greenfinches have been doing observational drawings for their art project. Y2 really enjoyed the habitats workshop @LothertonHall last week. In art, Y2 have been learning different techniques with paper. They especially liked making chains.
Y3 visited Kirkstall Abbey last week - exploring its rich history with role play, stretching and colouring in the courtyard, and even trying monk's writing with ink and quill. A perfect blend of learning and sunshine!
In Science, Kingfisher planned our experiment, discussed variables, and planted our class plant—excited to watch our investigation grow!In Maths, Kingfisher used manipulatives to explore all the different ways to make the same amount of money—some groups even created number sentences with coins!
Careers Related Learning
This half-term our Skills Builder skill is Staying Positive. Year 6 are showing us how well they can demonstrate this skill in their approach to their upcoming SATs. Good luck to Year 6 next week for their SATs!
