Careers Related Learning

In school, we use Skillsbuilder to help us to develop the essential skills we need to succeed in our learning and into our careers. These are taught explicitly in each year group. We have been focusing on our listening skills for the last 5 weeks.

Learning at Co-op Academy Oakwood

Y2 have been learning about the artist Andy Goldsworthy. They created their own piece of artwork in small groups using natural materials. This week, Y2 enjoyed conducting a traffic survey. Next week we will compare ours to a town called Bala in Wales. Early Years have been exploring the change in seasons and have started to explore different squashes and pumpkins. They have been on a bear hunt and have been learning actions to retell the story at home. Please ask them to show you. The weather has been kind so they have had lots of fun outdoors.
