Learning at Oakwood

After reading about a murmuration of starlings in their book, Twitch, Year 6 tried their own murmuration in the playground. Peregrine Class have been developing their Typography in Art this half term, creating letters from different shapes. Greenfinches have been learning whole and parts and have been learning lots of different creation stories. Y2 enjoyed spending time making diva lamps out of clay ready for Diwali. 

Careers related learning

Please join us for our Options after Oakwood event on Monday straight from school until 4pm in the hall. Local secondary schools will be here to talk about transition and we also have some colleges and universities joining us. Families and older siblings are all welcome. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Harvest Festival!

On Tuesday we celebrated our Harvest Festival together. The children sang harvest songs together. Thank you to all our families for the kind donations of food items which were shared with Gipton Action for the Elderly who were truly amazed by the generosity.
