Learning at Co-op Academy Oakwood

Class 8 have used charcoal to create modern day cave art depicting modern life. They used the various techniques taught to draw with the charcoal. Y2 enjoyed spending time making diva lamps out of clay ready for Diwali. The gardening  club have been busy with our friends from Wickes who have donated wonderful things for us to plant and build. Year 2 have finished decorating their diva lamps ready for Diwali next week. This week we will be writing instructions how to make them for others to follow. This week in reception the children have been reading the story Pumpkin Soup. They loved the story so much that they wanted to try some pumpkin soup themselves. The children peeled, chopped and stirred the vegetables and then enjoyed eating some delicious pumpkin soup.
