Autumn 1 week 2 Newsletter

Autumn 1 week 2 Newsletter - learning at Oakwood, Woodland day, Family Meeting and Every Moment Matters

Learning at Oakwood

This week the children have shown great ready to learn behaviour this week. We are really impressed with their resilience and dedication to meeting out school motto ‘Be the best you can be.'

In Early Years children have started phonics. Year 1 have enjoyed their class story. Year 2 have been showing great counting skills. Year 3 have started their French lessons. Year 4 enjoyed a trip out of school. Year 5 have started their Clarinet lessons and Year 6 have started their classifying unit of work - which included using lego. Ask your child what they have been learning.

Woodland day

Year spend spent the day at Woodlands. They had a wonderful experience -  learning about the woods and playing in the wide open natural environment - with farm animals in the background.

They also loved spending time with Dill the dog.

Due to the children’s outstanding attitude and behaviour we have been invited back next year. Well done Year 4 and staff!

Family meetings

Thank you to all the families who joined us on Wednesday to meet their child’s new teachers and the Key Stage 1 families who joined the reading meeting.

Every moment matters!

Every child that has 100% attendance for the week they will be entered into the spin the wheel prize draw. They can win a whole bag of goodies! Children who arrive on time will also have a chance to win a ‘Curly Wurly for coming in early!’
